The paintings in this gallery are semi-abstract expressions of a particular solitary space on Hampstead Heath, exploring the quiet, still and meditative atmosphere of the glade on a particular misty day. The work is based on a series on photographic contact prints and small oil sketches. I have explored colour and painting techniques to create the mysterious atmosphere of the glade on that day.
